PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a primary financial contact for the Water line of business, working cross-functionally with members of the Water business, as well as with other finance areas, such as Corporate finance and Operations finance.
• Support new product development initiatives by preparing and presenting EVA models and serving as an extended member of the core team for all R&D projects.
• Play lead role in preparing and presenting forecasts (TLBL, Quarterly Reforecast, Ad hoc) by working with business partners to analyze and quantify trends, update analytical tools, document assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure accuracy of database updates (TM1). Prepare related reporting, including “bridge” analyses highlighting differences between revised forecast and previous forecast and budget, as well as headcount and capital reporting.
• Play lead role in developing the annual operating plan and financial component of strategic plan by assisting in the preparation of revenue and expense targets by management area, coordinating the distribution of revenue and expense templates, working with business partners to develop financial projections, evaluating submissions for accuracy and content and ensuring accuracy of database updates (TM1).
• Coordinate month-end close process by monitoring revenue trends by region, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin and expense information prior to final bell.
• Prepare post-close P&L analysis including revenue (price-volume-FX), gross margin ($ and %) and expenses. Use analysis to prepare financial commentary for SOTUR, business reviews, BOD comments and for revising P&L outlook. Present financial information at quarterly business reviews and, as requested, at monthly business reviews.
• Prepare quarterly close reporting including MD&A analysis and quarterly financial checklist.
• Partner with Operations finance and Operations management to review drivers of monthly and quarterly manufacturing performance, prepare financial forecasts (variances, inventory, capital), ensure consistency between sales and build volumes, and support operations initiatives. \
• Ensure financial reporting is timely, accurate and relevant, including monthly management reporting packages, SOTUR, final bell P&Ls, and financial information included in business reviews.
• Review financial information used in management reporting that comes from non-SAP entities and help ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and financial modeling to support business partners in making decisions and preparing forecasts, including sales analysis.
• Drive for continuous improvement in planning, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Leverage information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate planning, reporting, and analysis processes.
• Monitor internal control environment and communicate gaps in controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: BA/BS Degree. MBA preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5 plus years experience in financial/business planning and analysis.
