Is your exercise ball collecting dust in the corner of a closet? Used as a clothes rack? Or possibly a dog toy? Come join Casey Ericson, Certified Personal Trainer, at the Have a Ball Core Strengthening class to learn how to use your exercise ball for its true purpose.
Ball Boot Camp classes are ideal for all fitness levels. Maintaining proper alignment on the ball stimulates the body's natural motor reflexes and encourages the body to react as a whole. When using the ball correctly, the body is required to use its stabilizing muscles while performing target specific exercises. In other words, using the ball can help to incorporate your entire body into exercises that would normally only isolate a few select muscles. Training with the ball can improve muscle tone, increase muscle endurance and strength, improve flexibility, enhance spinal stability, complement your resistance and aerobic programs, help you lose weight, and lastly, improve your balance, posture and coordination. The class is designed to show you a broad variety of exercises that incorporate the ball in order for you to maximize your ability to work out your core whether at the gym or in your home. Hand weights will also be incorporated to provide additional upper body toning.
