I have a section 8 voucher that pays the majority of my rent, and if you are not familiar with that, the rent check goes directly to my landlord from the state. I pay a portion of the rent myself which is generally under 200 dollars. Your rent is pretty much guaranteed. To qualify for this program you have to follow very strict guidelines such as no parties, no damages, no late rent, etc. That being said I have been on this program for 13 years and have always been considered an excellent tenant. I am looking for a large apartment, house or duplex that will accept section 8 and will let me pay in monthly installments on the security deposit. I have been a waitress at a family restaurant for five years and live mostly on tips, so a large down payment on a security deposit would be very hard for me. I am looking for a farmhouse to rent for the winter, I am a cheesemaker and a MOFGA journeyperson, I'm working on starting a creamery in Whitefield and am looking for a winter rental not too far away. I am looking for either a small cabin with a wood stove and good insulation for work-trade or cheap rent for myself or a house that several of my friends can rent together. I'm 28, experienced farmer, good with a chainsaw, and used to heavy physical labor. I have four well behaved goats, I will provide fencing and shelter for them. If the location is ideal I would consider a more long term rental/work-trade.

Looking for a single family home in Lisbon. Also would be looking in the Oxford, Poland, Mechanic Falls, Auburn, or Lewiston (out of town preferably) areas. At least two bedrooms a must, three would be better. Private drive way, a yard for the babe. Also need washer/dryer hook ups. 750$ rent without any utilities, 850$ if heat/water was included. One year rental, depending on the property/location a longer time frame would be considered. Need to have place by Dec. 1st, sooner if possible would also be great.

I am relocating to Houlton, Maine in January for work. I am looking for a quiet place to rent for anywhere between 6 months -- 2 years. I only NEED a one bedroom apartment, but would prefer a larger place with space for storage. I would prefer heating and utilities to be included in the rent. Currently I'm not seeing many options near Houlton, so if you have a house for sale, but are willing to rent it out for a while to make some money during the winter months when people are not looking to buy houses in Maine, please respond to this email.
