The ideal dog for us would be:
Up to 4 years old- we want many years to spend with our next dog
Calm inside, but still loves to play, take walks, explore, swim, etc.
Housebroken
Likes cats
Non destructive.. Enjoys being in the house, but doesn’t destroy things- Could be left alone if needed.
Enjoys rides- It is 2 ˝ hours to camp
Likes to stick around home- Isn’t a dog that runs off as soon as you open the door
Trustworthy- While we don’t have kids, we do have nieces and nephews that visit from time to time and would want to be able to trust the dog
Spayed/ Neutered- Not a requirement, but we would have that taken care of
Up to date on shots, heart worm, etc.- we could also have this taken care of, but want a healthy dog.

If we can't find a dog, we will get a puppy, but thought we may be able to help someone re-home their pet if needed. We have searched the shelters, but just haven't found a dog yet that we think would be a good fit for us.

I am looking for someone who many know any information on this dog. Supposibly the shelter was supposed to get back in contact with me about her informtion but never did so I am reaching for people on here to try to help me gather from information on her.

Her name is Ahna and I was told she is an american bulldog who was raised with kids and cats and had to be surrendered due to the family being on Social Security and couldnt afford her. I was notified that she has had one litter and was supposed to of been fixed but I dont see the incision of where she was. I was told she is around 2 years old and was supposed to of had her rabies shot. The Lincoln Humane Society called the vet she supposibly was spayed through and they said they have no records of her. I would just like to see how much information I can gather on her. I am NOT looking to place her, I love her to death. Attached are some pics of her. Even with clipped wings Zoey is fast & will dive bomb thru your legs and under your hand, so I haven't bothered. Best time to bond with them is evening.

Must stay together. There is a rehoming fee of $50. So they will less likely be turned over and over to other homes. They know they are loved and well taken cared for with regular clean bedding morning and night. it depends on the worms...have you SEEN the worms???

If they are long speghetti-like worms they may be round worms and can be treated with a product from walmart pet department or other pet stores. You will have to treat more than once usually, as directions state.

If the worms are small and dry up like littel grains of rice on the dogs behind and left on bedding, then it is probably tape worms and you need a medication specifically designed to kill that worm type. You can get that type also at the kennel shop and perhaps pet quarters. If you dont know what you are looking for just ask. However it is a more expensive drug so will cost a little more. If your dog has TAPE worms you need to know it comes from injesting fleas during licking/biting and you need to rid your pet of fleas BEFORE treating for the worms or it will be pointless.
