I am over 60 and a divorced single male. I moved to Bancroft, Maine, about a year ago from Arizona. I bought some beautiful property here. I will need a furnished room, with bed, desk, some chairs etc., as well as my own bathroom. I need the place in November or early December . I will consider sharing the house with only one other person, who also values quietude and mind over matter. I propose to pay up to $400 per month, including utilities. I will also need access to kitchen. I do light cooking.

I am an interdisciplinary researcher and writer, currently trying to finish the writing of a book on some very complex interdisciplinary subjects, involving the effects of politico-economic systems, cultures, and technocracy on human nature and behavior. I am highly educated (Ph.D.) and very knowledgeable in many interdisciplinary areas, like biology, genetics, sociology, philosophy, psychology, political economy, history of capitalism and working class struggles etc. I have done in-depth studies on these matters and have written and published articles. I have lived and worked in many countries and have dual nationality of US and Pakistan. I am multilingual and multicultural. In this country, I am going through some hard financial times because of economic crisis and political and racist discrimination. However, I have enough savings to live on for a few years, without working for money, if I economize. I will be willing to help in some types of work around the house.

I do not smoke or drink and rarely watch TV. I am very quiet and do not like noise. I am almost totally focused on intellectual, politico-economic, and spiritual matters and problems. Quietude is important for me but I am also very sociable with compatible politically progressive people, who are not brainwashed and who have preserved some critical thinking abilities.
