Job description:
The Online Merchandiser/Designer’s role follows merchandise the entire way through the online product life cycle, from the creation of the product pages through promotions, and ultimately into reporting to create better designs and increase sales.
• Capturing RAW photo’s and transforming them to the constraints of our existing designed product pages
o digital tethered photography
o photoshop rendering and retouching
o cropping and resizing
o organizing batch uploads with proprietary name schemes
• Publishing product descriptions and Static site content
• Maintaining and working in a team to create content for the Web Site and Social Media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and the Mexicali Blog
• Working cohesively to create marketing materials in different medias
Job Requirements
• Strong visual communication and writing skills
• The ability to stay organized and dead oriented in an always evolving work environment
• Assist with product descriptions, cross promotions, print ads, website banner ads and some marketing projects as needed
• Experienced photographer, competent with an SLR and familiar with digital studio setups
• Experience using Photoshop and Illustrator software as a medium for editing photography, creating advertisements, and cutting/background replacement/scaling product photography for use online and in print media
• Full understanding of the entire Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with both Windows and Apple operating systems and work environments
• Social Media knowledge including Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, Youtube, Google Applications (including email), Mass E-Mail
• The ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Experience with the following is preferred
• Encrypted/FTP Upload/Download and FTP Management of images, files, and style sheets

Position Purpose: Execute the successful production of pages from art element and product image preparation/creation through the final release of files. Ensure that assigned pages are released on schedule and meet quality standards.
· Work closely with business partners, IS peers and 3rd party vendors to define, develop and support testing through the web page design process.
· Complete assigned projects per the assignment and content launch schedule.
