This Bertazzoni 36 inch cook-top is considered to be in the high end luxury appliance category. It looks amazing, has a great five burner layout with the center burner being huge and very high temp. The center burner also comes with a wok ring which is ultra handy for Asian cooking. The cook-top also has a very small burner that is great for simmering, melting butter, and warm ups. The mid-size burners are best for general cooking. We are serious cooks and this cook-top has met the challenge. What else can I say?
Note: When we first installed the Bertazzoni, lighting the burners seemed to take longer than it should. On checking with a service company, we found that it was user error. The Bertazzoni has a safety feature that requires that besides turning the knob to the light position, you have to push down on it for increased ignition gas flow. Then to cook you turn the knob to a "non light" position. We were told that this is a common safety feature of high end, high heat cook-tops and ranges.
The cart is a heavy duty rolling island on large heavy locking wheels. The three drawers are perfect for cooking utensils, spices, and anything else that enhances your cooking experience. Lots of space underneath to show off your best pots, pans, and cast iron cookware. This is a complete mobile cooking machine.
Note: Check your local building codes for proper installation, and use only heavy duty professional grade flexible gas lines. The one that I used is typical for construction site portable heaters. This is a Natural Gas appliance.
