I have a Perception Spanky kayak which is 9.5'. It was modified by someone before I got it and I do not know the purpose of the16" by 5.5" hole cut in the bottom, but I imagine someone cut this for a purpose.
Possible Uses:
Decor in a restaurant and other establishment.
A dry land training devise.
A planter for a Kayak fancier
Advertising for a Kayak dealer.

What I do know:
It can not be repaired with fiberglass
It could have a thermowelded patch put on.
Some kind of a bolt on patch.
What ever you can think up, but I am sure there are a lot of clever people out there who will help me avoid its fate at the dump.
