This bark cloth overhangs the edges of my queen-sized bed. It’s 8’4” x 7’6” (100” x 90” / 9,000 square inches / 4+ yards), made from two identical pieces sewn together. It could be left as is, used as an amazing bedspread, or sewn into other items. It has been carefully stored away for over a decade and is in near-pristine condition.
This print in another color is being sold elsewhere for $1,895 per 22-inch square, which, at the same price, would make this piece nearly $19,000.) The 22” square pieces are made into a tote or pillow (by a beloved bark cloth seller whom I have purchased from in the past and whom I adore; I’m just giving you an idea of the rarity and priciness of this print). In another listing, 5.5 yards x 49” wide (9,702 square inches) of a much less desirable print is selling for $12,000.00.
I had planned on making something from this fabric, but a forty-year brain virus, brain tumor, and brain surgery has left me nearly destitute (but I’m now well!)—alas, this rare beauty needs to be sold to pay my immediate bills.
