The name change from "Stratton Bros. Level" to "Stratton Level" isn't well stated, but based on information I could find, the change may have happened between 1902 to1908 when Edwin Stratton sold the company to his son-in-law Raymond O. Stetson in 1902. Company was sold in 1908 to Goodell-Pratt.
