early Sixties Telefunken Hymnus stereo console, equipped with AM/FM. turntable, and short wave.Well made and heavy, about 50 inches long, with a pair of sliding doors at the front, and storage compartments. German engineered and produced, the Mercedes of 60s stereos. speakers along its lower end, and also speakers that fold out of either side.
the woodwork has survived 60 plus years very well, but ,although previous owner claimed it worked"when they bought it", it no longer functions. A friend was supposed to help me resurrect it, but he passed.
Unless you just want to admire it, or decorate your game room or living room with it, you'll need to possess or obtain some knowledge of repair. The other thing you'll need is at least 2 strong backs to lift it, and mine will not be one of them,sorry. the good news is it's on the first floor, just a dozen feet from my front door, and till it snows, you can back your vehicle right up to the front.
