Antique German Bier Stein - 3.(BAYER) PIONIER-BATTAILLON 3.KOMPANIE INGOLFTADT 1911-1913 WWI

German WWI Stein for a member of the 3. (Bayer) Pionier-Battaillon 3.Kompanie Ingolftadt 1911-1913 Translated: 3rd Pioneer Battalion, 3rd Company, Ingolstadt 1911-1913 Ingolstadt is the town the unit came from. The Bottom is inscribed "Made in Germany" The Inscription at the Bottom of the Lithophane is: Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit (Remembrance of my service) The Lithophane shows a Soldier, and scenes from the Unit's accomplishments. Pewter lid has a Locomotive and wheel with wings above handle. The unit built and repaired German Railroads.The stein is a approximately 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide at the base, and the Pewter lid is about 3 inches tall from base of lid to top of train. "Pionier Private Eichner is the man the Stein was made for. The names of the other members of the unit are on either side of the handle. This stein is beautiful and is in excellent condition, and has no cracks, chips.
