Up for sale is a Giant TCX Espoir 26 bicycle. It is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. I bought it for my son, who put about 200mi on it over 4 summers (everything on asphalt, in dry conditions, no spills or abuse). I would rate the bike 10/10 mechanically and 9.5/10 cosmetically.
If you are not familiar with it, the Giant TCX Espoir 26 is one of the top youth bicycles on the market. It is light, fast, sturdy, adjustable, and equipped with quality components. Best of all, it is versatile and can be used in all kinds of terrain and on all kinds of surfaces: road/asphalt, gravel, fire roads, mud (cyclocross), and more. This is not a generic ride from Walmart with a heavy frame and shabby componentry, but a well-engineered aluminum bike from a pro-peloton brand. It has a youth-specific compact geometry, low standover height, powerful disc brakes, balanced gearing, and lots of other features designed for young riders who want to experience real performance. It can be used for competition if your child is an aspiring racer.
The bike is adjustable and will fit riders between 8-15 years of age and up to about 5'6" tall. The pictures here are of the actual item.
The bike retails new for over $700, but it is sold out everywhere and very hard to find. Asking $550, sold as is, no returns. It is properly set up, cleaned, lubed, and ready to ride off the bat. Would make a really nice X-mas or B-day gift.
