EAI Bareknuckle Fixed Gear 56 cm
Old man knees are prompting the sale of my beloved Bareknuckle. Hoping to find a good home for it after years of fun and reliable service.
EAI Bareknuckle 56 cm (was originally "Kawasaki Green" but I had it blasted and powdercoated in a graphite color) Finish has the usual chips at the dropouts and where the bike gets typically locked up. Frame itself is perfect with no dings or cracks--never crashed.
Component highlights include:
Chris King "No Threadset" Headset--a little sun faded but works perfectly, as they always do
Sugino Kyoto Loco Crankset
Velocity Deep V Wheelset--handbuilt by me, laced 3X--bombproof wheelset that I've never broken a spoke on and rarely needs even modest truing
Profile Racing Rear Hub--can be setup with both a fixed gear and a freewheel
Soma Fabrications Pedals/Cages/Double Straps
In preparation for the bike's new owner I cleaned the drivetrain, replaced the front brake pads (and will throw in another set), installed brand new leather double straps on the pedals and replaced the old tires with a pair of brand new Continential 28 mm Grand Prix.
New, this frame and fork retails for about $650. Plus the $150 in new parts comes to $800. For only $100 more you get a complete bike that is ready to ride, and ride hard. If you know about these frames, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
