The book is in good condition, but the dust jacket has been ripped into two pieces, and is in rough shape as seen in photos. There is a name on the inside of front cover. There are no other markings on pages. Copyright 1947, 1st edition?, and has 868 pages including index at the back. Binding is intact and tight. This book has been in my family since late 1940s. A comprehensive guide to symphonic music, arranged by composer name.
