This classy runabout has been on lakes all over Maine for almost 65 years. We’ve inherited it from my father who built it in his home in 1959 from a Luger kit. It does, as usual, need some TLC every year and it could use a new coat of paint, the marine varnish on the deck and inside is quite good except for a small area of flaking of the varnish at the stern area. The plywood and fiberglass is very solid. The wooden keel has been rebuilt probably 3 times over the life of this boat - I had it in water last year 2024 but not this year and after 5 hours of trolling it showed that little 1/4 cup of water puddled in the stern. In the past, we always assumed it was the keel and rebuilt the keel over the winter months. It’s a sturdy strong boat and very comfortable to drive. It comes with a clamp on swivel seat with back for the driver and a tie-on seat with back for a passenger. The trailer is well maintained at this time and is registered thru May 2026. An outboard motor - 10 hp 1957 Evinrude Sportwin with a pressure tank - is listed separately but can be packaged together at a discount.
