This antique skeleton key weighs 3.5 oz., measures 5.25” L x 1 5/8” at its widest at the handle. I believe it is of cast iron as it is magnetic. It was originally in a display labeled “Medieval Skeleton Keys” – I have no idea where it was displayed originally. When I came across it, it had about 13 keys. They were glued to a red felt background and framed. They were painted to reflect their supposed metal composition, and I have not removed the glue or the paint from any of them.
