This is a Vintage Pioneer PL-514 Belt-Drive / Auto Return Turntable which was built in December of 1977. It has been fully serviced, performs flawlessly, sounds great and an Original PL-514 Instruction Manual and Sales Brochure are included.

As part of the servicing procedure, it was fully cleaned, lubricated and calibrated. This included all levers, cams, lateral spindle bushing as well as the thrust bearing and the belt was replaced as well. The belts I use cost 60% more than common replacements, but for fit, function and durability they are well worth the expense.

This turntable comes with its original Pioneer Glass-Fiber Headshell and mounted to it with new lead wires is an Audio Technica AT-PB33-E cartridge and new stylus with approximately five hours on it from testing at 1.75 grams of tracking force. This can likely be reduced as the tip and cantilever gradually break in. For optimal sound quality and to protect your valuable vinyl, the overhang was properly set to Pioneer specs and the cartridge alignment was precisely adjusted using a turntable protractor.

As stated above, it has been fully serviced, works perfectly and sounds great. While it presents nicely atop its original vibration absorbing feet, please note that the dust cover has some typical light scuffs and a thin crack at the far left corner, This does not affect the hinge function or anything else for that matter, but I wanted to mention it in case it is difficult to see in the pictures.

Because you are considering a local purchase, you will be able to see, touch as well as hear this vintage turntable. It's nice to know exactly what you are buying and not pay a fortune to some shipping service for the privilege of destroying your investment in transit.

If you are reading this it is available. Initial contact by email is preferable and I will reply promptly. If you do not receive a return email, then please text or call.
