Stereo amp and preamp pair, Adcom GFA-2 amplifier and GFP-565 preamp.
The Adcom GFA-2 is a vintage high-current stereo power amplifier from the early 1990s (approx. 1991-1994) delivering roughly 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It features a dual-mono-inspired design, high-speed output transistors, and a 10Hz–20kHz frequency response, often noted for its musical, warm sound.
The Adcom GFP-565 is a highly regarded, vintage (circa 1990-1995) solid-state preamplifier known for its exceptional, quiet phono stage and "Class A" circuitry designed by Walt Jung. It features a "bypass" mode for maximum signal purity, offering a warm yet clear sound often compared to much more expensive gear.
Both components have been tested and are working as they should, great sound with plenty of power. Good cosmetic condition overall, just typical general wear for gear of this vintage.
A good choice for a listening to vinyl with lots of additional input options, or even a great sounding 2 channel home theatre.
