Rosemont Bakery produces hand-made, hand-shaped traditional breads of a wide variety. Baguettes, boules, batards, free form, both yeasted and leaven cultured. We also produce a full line of laminated dough pastries.
Rosemont is growing. We just opened our 6th store and will move our bakery along with our production kitchen and warehouse to Steven's Ave this summer.
Rosemont baked goods are the pride, core and soul of our production department. As a company Rosemont strives to build community and a strong local food economy with our employees, suppliers and customers. We need a few team players to help fill out our staff. Previous professional baking is helpful but if you have solid kitchen skills, a positive attitude and interest in learning the craft then that works too.
Our bakery has a hard working atmosphere but we try to keep it light and enjoyable. The baking shift starts either at midnight or 1am. All bakers have the opportunity to learn all aspects of our production from mixing and shaping to lamination. Plenty of coffee is provided.
Rosemont offers health insurance to full-time workers after 90 days of full-time employment. Paid vacation time is available after the first year of full-time employment. All employees receive a 20% discount at our stores.
Some job requirements include:
At least one year experience in food service
Ability to lift 50 pound cartons or bags
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Some weekend availability
Strong communication skills
A positive attitude & an interest in people and food
