condition: like new
make / manufacturer: Celestron
model name / number: 6SE
delivery available
Almost like new, used only 3 or 4 times.
All photos in this ad are of the actual telescope that is for sale, photographed by me in December 2023.

What’s included:
• The telescope itself, with a fork arm and optical tube
• 25mm eyepiece
• StarPointer finderscope
• Star diagonal
• Hand control with push buttons, mounted on side of telescope fork arm; may be used to move the optical tube. This device has multiple functionality for identifying stars, navigating the telescope to desired stars, and providing information on stars.
• Tripod — with extendable legs and a center leg brace that is also an accessory tray. Mounts to the base of the telescope with three hand-tightened mounting bolts (included).
• A quick set-up guide
• A complete instruction manual
• A separate guide for the hand control

What’s NOT included:
• 8 AA batteries, which go in the base of the telescope to power it.
• One CR2032 3v lithium (button-type) battery, which goes under the front part of the StarPointer finderscope.
• Celestron’s optional RS-232 cable or USB-to-RS-232 adapter, both available on their website, in case you want to connect your computer to the telescope.

Weight and packaging:
• The telescope and its accessories (plus the tripod’s leg brace/accessory tray) are packed nicely in the plastic box shown in the photo. The plastic box will be put inside a cardboard box if shipping is desired, so the shipped dimensions would be larger.
This box is 26.5” long, 16” wide, 12” high — weight: 27 lbs.
• The tripod itself is currently not boxed (it’s in a plastic bag). It will be put inside a cardboard box if shipping is desired.
The tripod, folded up, is 28.5” long, 9.5” wide, 9.5” high — weight: 9 lbs.

How to pay for it:
I will accept a Cashier’s Check made out by your bank to my name.
If you’re picking this up in person, I will also accept cash.

How to get it:
OPTION 1:
I live on an island off the Maine coast, which is only accessible by ferry.
If you want to avoid shipping costs and pick it up, I will walk onto the ferry, go to the mainland and meet you in the ferry parking lot. You can give me cash, or a Cashier’s Check from your bank, and I’ll give you the telescope and all included items.
OPTION 2:
I can arrange to ship the telescope and all included items to you. They will come in 2 packages, the telescope and its accessories (and the tripod’s leg brace/accessory tray) in one box, and the tripod itself in a second box. If you want me to ship it, you will need to give me your address. I’ll get a cost from UPS to (a) pack my plastic box in one of their cardboard boxes, (b) to box the tripod separately, and (c) ship both of them via Ground delivery. I’ll add the shipping cost to the price stated in this ad. Once I receive your Cashier’s Check that you’ve gotten from your bank, I’ll ship everything out to you at the address you gave me.
