A beautiful Persian Klardasht runner, approx. age 1980, in good condition with a small old moth damage (which I will point out). Hand-knotted, wool on cotton foundation. Strong and healthy pile, healthy borders. Intensive colors from mineral and vegetable dyes. Typical Klardasht design with figures of birds and small animals. The Klardasht is a village rug. Klardasht is situated in the north of Iran, south of the Caspian Sea, near the Alborz mountains. Size 3`5 x 9`6 ft.
