Extra Large Antique Blanket Chest - $649 (Falmouth)

Inside, you'll find plenty of storage under the lid and an additional side compartment for storing smaller items. There are two dovetailed drawers under the larger storage compartment and they open and close with ease. Both drawers have been lined with a modern gold and white geometric print.
All of the hardware on the chest has been updated in an oil-rubbed bronze to compliment the wood tones. A chain has been added to help support the lid when open. Though the lock has been removed, the original latch is intact and the key is included. The wood inside of the chest and in the drawers has been refreshed with a lightly scented lemon verbena furniture tonic. The smell will fade with time, but this helps to add moisture back into the wood. The back side of the chest has been refinished to match and the entire piece is sealed in a satin polyurethane.
*Please note the extra large size of this piece*. The last two photos show it next to an average size sofa for scale. This chest would be amazing at the end of a high/tall bed, in a nook space, or even as a focal point on a living room wall, for example. It has two heavy duty handles for transport.
