Large Rustic Blanket Chest - $575 (Windham)

The original hinges have been painted in a fresh gold tone that is striking against the patina of the chest. When you lift the lid, you'll find a plethora of storage, including an additional storage cubby toward the front of the chest underneath a wooden lid.
Chains have been added to the underside of the lid to help it stay up when open, and the inside has been refreshed with an unscented furniture tonic to add moisture back into the wood. The top closes with a latch that sits over a metal loop. A small padlock could be used for locking items if desired (not included).
The sides of the chest feature large brass handles which come in handy for lifting and moving it. The chest sits flat on the floor and felt foot pads are included (as an option to protect your flooring). The back side of the chest is also refinished and matches the front and sides, so the chest could potentially be used in front a large/taller sofa (think coffee table) as another option. Last 2 photos show the chest in front of a sofa that is 17" from the floor to the seat cushions for scale.
