New keyhole covers have been installed and the desk comes with a key which works to lock the slant front writing area. The cubbies inside of the desk have been painted in the same beautiful green, which pops against the beige and white botanical print lining the back of the inside. The cubbies also have 2 small drawers. All drawers have been lined with the same botanical print that is behind the cubby space. The drawers glide well and the drop front opens with ease, especially for a desk of this age. The entire piece has been sealed in a satin polyurethane for extra protection and a bit of shine.
