Spring 2026 lambs are will start hitting the ground in mid-April! Most of the time, we prefer our ewes to raise their lambs until we wean, which is 4-6 weeks after they are born. There are times and reasons why a lamb may leave the farm before being weaned, thus making it a ‘bottle baby’. These are considered and offered on a case-by-case basis. Lambs are handled daily, and started on high-quality grain, hay, in a calm, family setting.
The cost for wether lambs is $300.00 this year. The cost for a ewe lamb is $325.00. All lambs are from polled genetics; all males (except those selected as Dairy Rams will be priced at $450.00) will be castrated before leaving the farm. One of our Dairy Ram's is from an East Freisian Dam that was AI with Lacaune semen. The other ram is a dark brown Finn x East Fresian. The dams are East Friesian X Lacaune. They have varying qualities of fleece, and all are appropriate for dairy, fiber, or meat purposes.
We are happy to support and educate first-time owners. Also available are goat kids. We are open by appointment only. We can also provide a Zoom or FaceTime video call. We require a $50 deposit until they are ready to go. To see more about our farm including photos and to make an on-line reservation go to http://threecharmfarm.net/sheep
If you would like to reserve a lamb, you will need to make a $50 deposit for each lamb you would like to reserve. The deposit will hold your place on our list. We have limited reservations for 2026 as we are retaining many of the ewe lambs born this year. The deposit is non-refundable unless we do not have the number of lambs that we expect. Please indicate your preferences and we will do our best to fulfill your request but offer no guarantees!
Three Charm Farm is a closed herd and flock. We take our bio-security very seriously and as a responsible farmer, breeder and dairy producer, we test our sheep for CAE/OPP, CL, and Johne’s Disease. As a licensed dairy, we regularly test for TB/Brucellosis. The state of Maine’s Department of Agriculture also tests our milk, cheese, and water on a regular basis.
Please! NO DRIVE-UPS TO FARM WITHOUT APPOINTMENT
