DIXIE RAINBOWS" chicks coming for anyone interested in getting chickens that lay large eggs and possibility of double and triple yolks. These eggs are huge will put up pick of what they look like to another large egg and a muscovy duck egg. Not saying you will get this size all the time but I get them everyday.
These are not from Meyers ,MacMurray or any other hatchery that say they have Rainbows ,Pioneers or anything else they say are the same as Dixie Rainbows. These are the original patterned Dixie Rainbows.
Not a lot of people are familiar with them but they are great. Not aggressive have puppy dog personality and talk back when I talk with mine. Listen like a dog would. I have had them for 3 years and love them and will be the only ones I have eventually. People who have gotten them from me love them as well and they are exactly what I say. I have people who come back and get more the following year because they love them.
Chick prices are $5 each up to 12 I,over 12 to 25 are $4 each and then over 25 is $3.25 each. They are straight run so you could process the roos if you get them and keep others for egg laying. These are the best dual purpose bird you could have. Hardy lays over 300 eggs a year.
Pics shown are of my animals and eggs to see what they look like as they are very pretty ,grow twice as fast as other chicks. These are meat birds that free range and don't die or have leg problems like Cornish Rocks or are to thin like the red rangers. These are not from France like some think they are an American bred chicken. Will lay more than 300 eggs a year with 94% doing at least that, will lay year round. If you are looking for a Real dual purpose bird this is it. My first roo was about the size of small turkey at ,4 months old. The perfect chicken for backyard farmers as well as people raising for egg production. Super personality not aggressive. Process out in 8-12 weeks free ranging.
I know you will love these birds. The NH ads may have more pics if you want to look at them also just look up Dixie Rainbows.
