Rex is a brand that Gretsch distributed, the guitars and mandolin's and banjo's were likely made by other companies for Gretsch. this one probably Chicago , Lyons and Healy or Regal. No cracks orig case. Could be between 1930 and 50 .do not know a lot but its cool and it is a playboy
