The piano was built by A.M. Hume, Boston 1912 This Hume is identical to the Steinert C grand.
It is comparable to the Steinway O, and is 5’10 1/2” in length.
It was fully restored with all Steinway parts in 2004, including new pin block, strings, new action/hammers, new dampers, and new legs.
It has been regularly maintained, tuned, and was recently regulated and voiced with attention to key weights in November 2018 ($2500). It plays evenly and has a beautiful tone. Technicians who have worked on the piano include Lee Morton, Matt Guggenheim, who services the Portland Symphony Orchestra pianos, and more recently, Will Truitt, president of the New Hampshire Piano Technicians Guild.
There are a few a few scratches/blemishes on the case, but overall as you can see, it is a beautiful piano.
It was appraised 4 years ago at 15K by Matt Guggenheim. I am asking $8000.
