This all solid wood prototype guitar is the closest thing Epiphone ever made to the Gibson Southern Jumbo. Purchased locally from the original owner about a year ago. In great condition, save the two small dings pictured. Has a factory installed passive piezo pickup. Includes hardshell case.
Great guitar, but I've set my sights on something bigger, so I've decided to part with it.

Here's the history of the model, copied/pasted from a Reverb listing:
"This guitar has quite the story to tell. Have you ever wanted to own something one of a kind? Well this may be it. Back in the 90s when Gibson moved to Montana they hired Terada (the company the later made Epiphone Elitist guitars) to make parts for a line of "Epiphone Montana" guitars that would be assembled and finished by Gibson in Montana. This guitar is a prototype of that planned model run. But alas, they never made it to full production. Why would Gibson have planned to have two American made Southern Jumbos? Your guess is as good as mine. But these prototypes were eventually sold off to employees or friends. So this guitar is essentially an Epiphone Elitist Southern Jumbo that was assembled and finished by Gibson with Gibson parts. To my knowledge there are only a handful in the world, and most were eventually destroyed. If you know Terada Elitist guitars made for Gibson then you know they rival the originals. An Elitist Southern Jumbo was never made, so this is a truly collectable find. It's got all the Gibson Southern Jumbo specs. Same build, same tuners, same pickguard, all solid wood. You'd be hard pressed to tell them apart side by side other than the headstock logo. It's your chance to own a unique piece of history."
