Date unknown but likely early 1900's or late 1800's. No cracks, has worn soundboard. Original tuners were replaced in 1980's to make this playable but proved too small for my hands. Was purchased about 45 years ago at Starbird Music in Portland. I carted it off to California (where the new tuners were installed by a noted luthier in Berkeley). Back in Maine after all these years and hoping to find a new owner. Due to the diminutive size this is more of a collection piece than a player, but it will tune up. I still have the remains of original tuners but as you can see the rear mounted tuning cavity was plugged and modern tuners installed. Same hole spacing so no new holes were drilled in headstock.
