Selling my 1985 Mesa Boogie Mark III “no‑stripe” Simul‑Class 1x12 combo in clean, fully functional condition. This is the early Mark III circuit with the classic Boogie clean and lead voices, plus the highly regarded EVM‑12S speaker —a sweeter version of the EVM‑12L with the same punch and clarity. It's housed in a black tolex combo cabinet with a black grill. It’s heavy, as all EV‑loaded Boogies are, but manageable.
The amp has also had the reverb modification performed and is fitted with a MOD reverb tank, which gives it a noticeably lusher, fuller, more usable reverb than the stock configuration. It’s one of the nicest reverb implementations I’ve heard on a Mark‑series combo.
Everything works exactly as it should. No weird noises or issues. The cooling fan is a little noisy but then again, they all are.
Features:
1985 No‑Stripe Mark III
Simul‑Class power section (Class A + Class AB)
Reverb modification + MOD reverb tank (lush, full, and musical)
105 power transformer
Electro‑Voice EVM‑12S speaker (strong, articulate, and sounds fantastic)
All channels and functions operate properly
Very clean overall condition
No graphic EQ (simpler layout)
Includes an aftermarket footswitch. Big, full clean tones and rich, vocal overdrive. Asking $1,150. The only trade I’d consider is a clean early‑ to mid‑80s Fender 1x12 Concert II. Thanks!
