I believe that music should be available to those of all backgrounds, and I aim to reach a wide range of individuals through both my teaching and performing. Learning an instrument can shape who you are, developing work ethic, confidence, and ownership. Through the study of music there are countless life skills that can be learned - creativity, listening, communication, compassion, and empathy, to name just a few. The skills developed through learning a musical instrument benefit each individual as a whole, and can be applied in every other aspect of life and learning.
Classically trained on both violin and viola, I offer one on one instruction for all ages and levels. I hold a degree in music performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a masters degree in music performance from Boston University College of Fine Arts, and I am certified in the Suzuki Method.
