The Pentax K1000 is regarded as the best for students learning photography with film. This example is in excellent condition and all functions work. It is very clean and there is no corrosion in the battery compartment. The all-manual, all-mechanical camera works without a battery, although a battery (not included) is needed for the light meter; use a common LR44 or 357 or equivalents. Or you can use an app on your phone for metering. Uses any 35mm film, color or B&W.
A manual is available online at >> https://butkus.org/chinon/pentax/pentax_k1000/pentax_k1000.htm
Condition: The photo through the viewfinder is to show the battery check passed---needle holding at the top of the range. I am not able to confirm accuracy of the shutter speeds but they all sound good. Light seals look good but I have not tested this with film so cannot promise but replacement is easy if needed. There is some chipping of the chrome around the lens mount, see pics; it does not affect operation and does not affect appearance when the lens is mounted. The viewfinder is clear, no dirt. The lens is clear and the aperture blades work fine, nice and snappy.
This kit includes:
* Pentax K1000 35mm film camera
* Pentax-M 50mm f/2 lens---the "nifty fifty" normal lens
