This Impreza is in great condition and runs well. There are a few things to consider if you are interested.
As with just about every Subaru of this generation, the head gaskets are leaking. They are leaking externally, and the car is not overheating (nuisance leak). It is leaking just enough to smell oil on the exhaust occasionally but not enough to warrant adding oil in between oil changes.
The windshield has a crack and the driver quarter panel has some rust forming.
Currently the check engine light, ABS light, and Cruise Control lights are on. After diagnosing trouble codes, online research, and speaking with tech’s that are experienced in Subaru wiring/diagnostics, it has been determined that the lights are on because there is a wire/wires that are pinched/broken/shorted in the wiring harness that goes from the ABS Module to the ECM.
Purchased the car with 29,000 miles and have driven it for 22,000 miles with all of these lights on. It runs very well and gets great gas mileage. Please keep in mind that with these lights on, the Cruise Control and ABS does not currently function.
