Looks like a joke of a homemade spitter, and it kinda is, BUT IT SPLITS! I've had it for 20 years. Replaced the old briggs with a honda several years back. Quirks of construction are a wedge welded on at 20" but only a 16" cylinder. Slows productivity sometimes but you slap a 4" round in as a shim to get through the tough ones, most split well before then and don't need the spacer. Also, has never had a hydro filter. Missing a wheel, but it has always lived on sawhorses. I've probably split close to 100 cords with this over the years. Cheap way to get a working splitter that will get you through the nasty wood.
