Well insulated boxes used only once to distribute "Home Chef" meals (6 at a time). The meals each came in their own container within, so the boxes I've got are in immaculate condition.
Boxes include "ice pack" (not really ice) which (by the time you get them) will need to be re-frozen for refrigeration use.
Also, the insulation makes the USABLE dimensions 15"x9"x10.5".
You can easily remove the insulation and use these for, say, book boxes. Without the insulation, they'll give you a bit more space for storage.
I've used these boxes for shipping and keeping perishable goods and they work great, but since we continue to be a Home Chef customer, they keep coming and I've currently got 20+ looking for good homes.
Note that the boxes themselves are all cardboard, but the insulation varies. Some of the insulation was meant to be recyclable but probably cost Home Chef more, and some of it is plastic. It all works well.
